The company is authorized to insert the number of policy in this note.

$24,00

On the 28th (first is crossed off) day of July 1890, for value received, I promise to pay the GERMAN INSURANCE COMPANY, or order, at their office in Freeport, Ill., the sum of Twenty Four X X X X Dollars, in payment of Premium on Policy No. _________ of said Company, with 8 per cent. interest from date until paid. If paid when due no interest is charged.

If this Note is not paid at maturity said Policy shall then cease and determine, and be null and void, and so remain until the same shall be fully paid and deducted from the amount of said loss. It is understood and agreed that this note is not negotiable.
